The man who drove by and shouted that we were legalized extortionists.
The man who drove by and screamed at us that we were supporting Communists.
The woman who drove by and gave us the finger. Really!? With children present?!

All of the parents and students who brought us treats and came to spend time with us and march with us.
The solidarity of the various picket lines and rallies we visited and especially the FABULOUS signs. CPS teachers turn out to be very witty and quite trenchant!
The overwhelming majority of people of all ethnicity, age, and gender who not only honked at our picket line, but gave us thumbs up, huge smiles, fists of solidarity, and shouts of encouragement. Especially the policemen, firemen and all the guys from Streets and Sanitation. (Boy, they have loud horns!)
